Yappy Hour Returns to White River State Park


A Free Outdoor Downtown Pup and Family-friendly Happy Hour Event 

White River State Park (WRSP) kicks off one of its most popular event series, Yappy Hour, in partnership with Radio Now 100.9, Thursday, June 24. 

Yappy Hour is a series of free family-friendly happy hour events that welcomes both people and pups alike. Attendees will enjoy music, food carts, yard games, multiple local dog vendors and dog training demos. The series kicks off on June 24, followed by events on July, 29, Aug. 19, and Sept. 30. All events will take place in the Historic Military Park at White River State Park to allow for optimal social distancing and will run from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Convenient parking is available in the White River State Park underground garage which can be accessed off of Washington St. (across from the JW Marriott or west of West St. / and at Schumacher Way).  

WRSP continues to prioritize the health and safety of its visitors and staff. Visitors are encouraged to practice social distancing and act responsibly. A full list of guidelines and protocols can be viewed by visiting www.WhiteRiverStatePark.org.

Who: White River State Park 

What: Yappy Hour, a family-friendly outdoor happy hour event with a canine twist. This is a free event and open to the general public. Dogs are welcomed but not required. All dogs are to remain leashed while visiting WRSP.
