Things are about to get spooky in Whiting with all the Halloween festivities happening in October. You will start hearing screams in town from the Haunted Hayrides on October sixth and seventh from 6:00pm-10:30pm at Whiting Lakefront Park.
Friday the thirteenth is a day that we fear already, why not add more scary fun that weekend by hosting Wickedly Whiting. The eighth annual Wickedly Whiting Festival will be held on October thirteenth from 5pm-11pm and October fourteenth from 11am-11pm. Come out and enjoy food vendors, a beer garden, live music, and family friendly entertainment. Do not forget to wear your favorite Halloween costume.
Who does not like scary movies during the Halloween season; come out to the Hoosier Theatre and watch a Classic Horror film on October twenty-second and October twenty-eighth.
The Saturday before Halloween make sure you come out to Whiting and check out all the fantastic costumes walking down 119th St during the spook-tacular Halloween Costume Parade. The parade will start at 12:30pm and all the little ghosts and ghouls will get a goodie bag.
And of course, on October thirty-first everyone will be ringing doorbells and shouting Trick or Treat from 5pm-7pm.
