Art Museum of Greater Lafayette  Virtual Friday Night Live: JOE HESS Stay at home and listen to the tunes of JOE HESS! Joe will be going live on his Facebook page Friday, May 8, 2020 at 7 pm, as part of our weekly virtual Friday Night Live series. We’ll be sharing the video on our page as well so stay tuned! Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Joe Hess grew up in the 80s listening to bands such as Motley Crue and Metallica. It wasn’t until he was a junior in high school that he realized he had a hillbilly bone waiting to awaken. He was forced to listen to country radio all day long while hammering nails in building trades class, and before long he was wearing blue jeans and cowboy boots. Joe began playing live venues in the early 2000s with a band named “Locked and Loaded”. That band was short lived and then there was love, marriage, and a baby carriage. Fast forward to 2012 when Joe returned to the music scene with a “full steam ahead” mindset and started a band named “Joe Hess and The Wandering Cowboys”. The band toured the Midwest, opened up for major country acts and played their butts off until the beginning of 2019. Some Influences: Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Brooks N Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Mark Chestnut, Joe Diffie Whether in person or via FB, this concert series is made possible by our Presenting Sponsor Purdue Federal Credit Union & our Bronze Sponsor BRU Burger Bar Lafayette! https://www.artlafayette.org/fridaynightlive Friday, May 8, 2020 at 7pm
