Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing dand party with the coolest nerds in Bloomington.
WonderLab Museum (July 16,, 2019) – WonderLab announces Night at the Museum: Moon Landing Anniversary Party. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing during this special family, evening event. “The moon landing is a huge, historically significant accomplishment,” said Sarah Lynn Wells, WonderLab’s Adult and Secondary Education Specialist. “We are transforming the whole museum to celebrate!”

Specific Activities During Opening week include:
Travel to the moon using virtual reality.
Space themed crafts including solar system hats, pocket solar system and moon paintings.
Learn about how to survive on Mars.
Build stomp rockets.
Hands-on meteorite activities with the Indiana Geological & Water Survey.
A tribute to the work of Virgil Ivan “Gus” Grissom, the second American in space was born in Mitchell, Indiana. He served in Project Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs by Spring Mill State Park staff.
