PERU Ind. – Miami County Artisan Gallery (MCAG), 20 North Broadway, Peru, IN presents an Art Educational Seminar, Saturday, February 29, 2020, 2 – 4 PM. This workshop is to enhance and meet the educational needs of artists and entrepreneurs and support their creative energies. Participants targeted are High School Students and Adults. Cost is $35 per person.
The February 29th theme is Exceptional Acrylic Pour Art. The workshop starts with opening speaker,Host Marlene R. Mickelson, MCAG Executive Director. Ms Mickelson presents,”Capturing the Beauty of Acrylic Pour.”The purpose of the motivational presentation is to give recognition to local artist and entrepreneur, Phillip L. Thorrington. The goal is to promote and encourage participants’ use of their creative energies.
Session One: Artist & Entrepreneur, Phillip L. Thorrington, of Vivid Acrylic Pour, gives an intro to “How he found this process, and how he perfected it.” The purpose of the seminar is to demonstrate how today’s professionals and nonprofessionals can use art basics for businesses and personal development. The goal is to demonstrate and encourage the value of acrylic pour, and quoting Mr. Thorrington,”Teach a process to result in high sales, but slow in time and cost..”
Mid session refreshments will be available for participants as they visit and review the “Vivid Acrylic Pour Open House Display.”
Session Two: “Getting Your Art Out There,” will show the key to success in selling. An interactive discussion will open the door to new forms of presenting artwork using today’s media, enhancing sales skills, and growing a business. Follow up classes will be scheduled by interested participants. Closing comments will be followed by refreshments and networking!
