The Hancock County Fair will now take place this July 10-17.
Blinking carnival lights, music from a band, the smell of tasty food choices, and being able to get up close and personal with a llama, a sheep, or a cow – what better way to excite your senses than at a County Fair? But, just not any fair – the Hancock County Fair in Greenfield from July 10-17, 2020 – charges NO admission and NO parking fee for the general fair experience. So if you are looking for a great place to spend an evening that won’t break the bank – consider a visit to Greenfield.
The Hancock County Fair is a 4-H event so there is lots to see each and every night. There are a variety of livestock shows in three different locations. Have you ever seen a llama in a costume? Well you can see that at Greenfield! How about a dog running an obstacle course? You can see that too! You can also see a talent show, a pet parade, and a fashion show.
The Pioneer Building has free music every evening along with a display of antique tractors. There is a Commerical building and a tent filled with local artisans, craftsmen and vendors. And let’s not forget the food! There is a wide variety of food choices: ribeye sandwhiches, pork burgers, the famous Tri-Kappa Donuts, the Lion’s Club’s Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob and 4-H Lemon Shake- Ups. Of course, the carnival has a wide variety of rides and games that are guaranteed to thrill young and old alike. If this doesn’t excite you – there are some great special feature events that will be ticketed. These include a auto-cross drag race, truck and quad drag race, a rodeo, Monster Trucks, and a Demolition Derby. Please go to www.yourhancockfairgrounds.com for more information about these events.
We hope to see you at the Hancock County 4H Fair!
