Itinerary
DAY 1 Check in to one of our great lodging properties or campgrounds and head right out to do the High Adventure Canopy Tour at Zip Timber Lake (reservations required) or follow our Antiques Trail and do dinner at Nick’s Kitchen in Downtown Huntington and have the original hand breaded pork tenderloin that was featured on the Travel Channel. Then walk down to Antiqology for ice cream and the Midwest’s largest selection of craft sodas.
DAY 2 Get up early and spend the day at Salamonie Lake on a rented pontoon or a Party Barge for 20 of your closest friends and then stay up late and enjoy a double feature at the nostalgic Goodrich Twin Huntington Drive-In Theater. Grab dinner at the concession stand!
DAY 3 Spend the day shopping in the quaint town of Roanoke for jewelry, artistic works, clothing, gifts, kitchen items, quilting supplies and so much more. Have lunch in one of their cafes and then spend the afternoon sampling wine at Two-EE’s Winery. For dinner, make reservations at Joseph Decuis, a gourmet farm-to-fork that features its own farm-raised Wagyu beef.
DAY 4 After a big breakfast, spend time golfing at one of the county’s five golf courses or hiking one of our scenic trails and visiting our Sunken Gardens in Huntington before heading out of town.
