With its Dairy, Pig and Crop Adventures, the opportunity to sleep in a silo and three tasty places to eat, Fair Oaks Farms is the perfect place for a family visit at any time of the year. When the holidays arrive, however, a special magic surrounds the farm and enhances the experience to a whole different level.
The season begins on Nov. 17, when the Forest of Lights becomes aglow for the first time. From then until Dec. 31 come to enjoy the changing scenes of light and interactive color displays as you walk through the woods under the stars in the vast outdoors.
The farm partners with Lightswitch and Sandy Beach Lighting Company to provide this immersive experience of sparkle and beauty, which gets better every year. You’ll want to take lots of photographs, and along the path you’ll also find bonfires for making s’mores, warm drinks and adult beverages.
Even before that, the private dining Igloos will be available between Nov. 10 and Feb. 14. This is another unique experience that has you dining outdoors but staying warm in your own bubble of up to 10 friends and loved ones.
While you’re here you’ll enjoy the same service you would inside at the Farmhouse Restaurant, and when you make your reservations, you can add on appetizer treats such as wine and cheese or BBQ Bacon Shrimp to be ready and waiting when you arrive. This added touch will make a special dinner even more so.
Santa returns on Dec. 17 and 18 for our annual event – Stories and Stars with Santa to read stories, listen to your children’s wish lists and share sweet treats and hot chocolate with them. When they’re finished, they’ll be able to take home a photo of themselves with the Jolly Old Elf.
The fun doesn’t end when Christmas and Hanukkah are over. The farm is planning a special New Year’s Eve dinner to ring in 2024; then you can hole up in your cozy hotel suite to reflect and relax the next day.
