Conveniently located on Highway 6 in Porter County, Anderson’s has 43 acres of beautiful hilly land, perfect for exploring, picnicking and getting away from it all. Located at the highest point in Porter County, atop the Valparaiso Moraine, Anderson’s started life in 1927 as an apple orchard. In 1993 it became the first winery north of Indianapolis in Indiana. Jim and Denna Fyock purchased the winery in 2018, and have spent the last three years renovating and rejuvenating it, inside and out. A new three-season room, finished in October, doubled their seating capacity indoors and outdoors. Their beautiful garden is a perfect place to spend a summer afternoon.
The wine and food menu has something for everyone. Sweet, dry, red, white, blush, and sparkling for the wine lovers, beer and soft drinks for those who prefer something else. Their delicious menu has a variety of flatbreads, paninis, nachos, dips and spreads, and cheese plates. While you wait you can browse the many gifts and wine-related items for sale in the market.
There is always something happening at Anderson’s! Live music on weekends and ticketed evening performances, comedy club, seminars on a variety of subjects—cheesemaking, soapmaking, cooking, crafts, wine appreciation and many more.
Anderson’s also hosts private events—small weddings, birthday parties, showers, rehearsal dinners and business and charity events—they have indoor and/or outdoor space for any occasion.
Make Anderson’s your destination, any time of the year. They are open from 12 to 6 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. (Closed on major holidays.)
