Allow yourself to be transported back in time to the simpler pleasures of the nineteenth century as you wander through the wooded winter landscape of Shubael Little Pioneer Village, guided only by the soft glow of lanterns and candles. Enjoy the voices of carolers cutting through the crisp evening air as you savor the anticipation of what you’ll find at each of the candlelit cabins. Maybe there will be home-baked treats or steaming mugs of hot chocolate to warm your hands or a cozy fire and music to rekindle your heart’s spirit. Whatever you find, it’s sure to add a spark of magic to your holiday season.
Shubael Little Pioneer Village is a collection of primitive cabins that were relocated from various Perry County locations to land settled by pioneer, Shubael Little, and his family. The furnished cabins, located in a beautiful setting and now decorated for the holidays, give visitors a feel for what it must have been like for Shubael Little and other early Perry County settlers as they prepared for the holiday season.
