ITINERARY
Day 1
Enjoy visiting the AMA National Model Aviation Museum, the world’s headquarters for model aviation, then head downtown Muncie and find some of Indiana’s best brew at Heorot Pub & Draught House, home of Wolves’ Head Brewing, voted in the top 100 beer bars in America six years running by Draft Magazine.
Day 2
Enjoy a fun-filled day at Minnetrista, learn about the Ball Jar Family legacy, walk along the gardens of the 40-acre campus and tour the Oakhurst Family historic homes. Take in a show at one of Muncie’s performing arts venues such as Emens Auditorium at Ball State.
Day 3
Head to Ball State and visit the David Owsley Museum of Art, one of Indiana’s best art museums before cheering on the Cardinals at a NCAA sporting event.
Day 4
Visit the downtown Muncie Art & Culture scene with an abundance of art galleries, local shops and the Muncie Children’s Museum. Don’t miss lunch at Vera Mae’s, a Publisher’s favorite. Then in the afternoon, head out to Tonne Winery, voted Indiana’s Best Winery in 2014, to taste award winning Indiana wine. For dinner don’t miss the famous Pete’s Duck Inn for great food in a laid back friendly atmosphere with everything from frog legs to prime rib for those over 21.
Day 5
It would not be a trip to Muncie without touring the Garfield Statue trail located throughout Muncie. Also, stop by the Wysor Street Depot, headquarters for the Cardinal Greenway. In the afternoon, visit some of the stops on the Indiana Glass trail and don’t miss Ed’s Glass and More Factory Outlet.
