Arni’s Pizza Eating Contest

Lafayette, IN – Arni’s Restaurant is proud to announce their upcoming Pizza Eating Contest to be held on Sunday April 28th at 4:00pm in the Arni’s Market Square parking lot, 2200 Elmwood Avenue Lafayette, IN.

This competition puts up to 100 contestants against each other in a battle to see who can eat the most pizza within one hour. “We are excited to do this event again this year” says Brad Cohen, co-owner of Arni’s Restaurant. “It is a fun way to celebrate what we do best: EAT PIZZA!” Over $3,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded with the champion winning $1000! Additional prizes like best costume and best cheering section will also be awarded. The contest is limited to the first 100 people who completely register. Contestants can obtain the registration form by visiting any Arni’s location or by downloading the form online at

Arni’s will also donate a matching $1,000 to a local community non-profit. This year Arni’s chose Home with Hope. The Home with Hope is the only facility of its kind in the Lafayette area. They provide a continuum of care, often following primary treatment or detox for alcoholism and other drug addictions, for men and women age 18 and older. Home with Hope helps clients learn how to live their lives as productive members of the community, by providing a safe, structured and sober living environment.

Arni’s has been a family tradition for over 50 years. Arnold “Arni” Cohen opened the doors to the flagship restaurant on February 11, 1965 at Market Square Shopping Center in Lafayette, Indiana. Arni hosted the first Pizza Eating Contest in 1971 and carried on the annual tradition for 25 years, Arni’s brought the contest back as part of their 50th Anniversary celebration in 2015.
