The Uranus Fudge Factory and General Store has officially opened its doors in Richmond, Indiana promising an out-of-this-world experience – no butts about it!
Spanning 8,000 square feet, the Richmond location features a blend of shopping, quirky displays, and 18 flavors of creamy, homemade fudge made fresh daily. Fan-favorite fudge flavors include chocolate pecan, peanut butter and chocolate, toffee bar, blueberry cheesecake, and dark chocolate.
Beyond fudge, they have chocolates (they make their own), taffy, flavored popcorn, Uranus brand sodas, amusing Uranus t-shirts, and whimsical merchandise. Homemade ice cream will be added this spring.
Louis Keen, aka, Mayor of Uranus, launched the original Uranus Fudge Factory along Route 66 in central Missouri in 2015. Since then, Keen has expanded to three locations, including Anderson, Indiana, which opened in 2022, and now Richmond.
True to Keen’s love of the unusual and quirky, the Richmond store boasts a pterodactyl and bi-plane suspended from the ceiling, a carnival-style shooting range, and a vortex tunnel to walk through as you exit. For those prone to dizziness, there’s an option to bypass the tunnel.
Conveniently located at the I-70 and U.S. 40 interchange, on the Indiana-Ohio state line the store is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A lot more fun, zany displays and merchandise is to come in the near future, making Uranus an ever-evolving destination for unique entertainment shopping and fudge.
