There’s no better way to experience the culture and history of rural Northern Indiana than by hitting the road to travel through the gently rolling countryside. Connecting the communities throughout Marshall County, the Barn Quilt Trail features a series of large murals painted in a variety of quilt patterns on barns, businesses and public spaces in downtown areas including popular Culver and Plymouth. Self-guided trail maps are available.
Take time to explore the historical side of Marshall County. What will you discover? Some fantastic museums—ranging from the Marshall County Historical Society Museum to the Culver Academies Museum. But our history is also all around us. It’s in the Bourbon Town Pump and the Bremen Water Tower. And we’re happy to share it with you.

You’ll be surprised by the dining in Marshall County. Sure, there’s the roadside diner with the best pancakes and great conversation. But there are also ve-star gourmet menus to choose from as well.
