MUSIC FESTIVALS
The park has long been associated with music, beginning with the Brown County Jamboree held every Sunday back in the early 40’s under a tent. Bill Monroe began playing at the popular Jamboree in 1951 and took over management of the park in 1952. The tradition of music and festivals continues in Bean Blossom, this year 6 music festivals are being produced by the park.
Outside of the music, a big draw to these festivals is the onsite camping. Campers of all sizes, tents and boondocking sites are rented out months in advance. People come from all over the country to camp, listen to music and jam around the campsites. Many famous musicians have stayed at the park and jammed over the years.
