While adults have been going to French Lick for nearly 170 years to enjoy its mineral springs, outstanding golf courses, and upscale dining, the resorts and surrounding area are now catering to the entire family, offering lots of activities specifically for kids (and kids at heart!).
The KidsFest Lodge, located in front of French Lick Springs Hotel, is where kids create memories and make the most of their French Lick Resort getaway. The resort takes the time to plan fun and educational events through varied and diverse experiences at The Lodge. Unique experiences, like taking a hayride to The Stables or cooking up fun and healthy snacks in the KidsFest Lodge, create memories that last a lifetime. They even change up the activities with the seasons. All activities are supervised by their trained counselors and have been developed to ensure kids have a full experience in fun and creativity. The resort also has a six lane bowling alley where kids can also play video and pinball machines or shoot a game of pool in the arcade as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Families who visit the area can also spend the day splashing away at the 40,000-square-foot Big Splash Adventure Indoor Water Park, sit back and take in the views aboard the fully-restored French Lick Scenic Railway that takes riders on a 20-mile historic train ride through the national forest, and enjoy skiing or tubing on Patoka Lake where you can get up close and personal with a bald eagle or other native wildlife.
Year-round family fun can be found at Shotz Miniature Golf and Lazer Tag. This one-of-a-kind facility features indoor lazer tag, a 9-hole indoor miniature cosmic golf course, Lazer Frenzy and an 18-hole outdoor miniature golf course.
Another indoor activity is go-karting at the FLWB Indoor Karting Center that features two state-of-the-art go-kart tracks, one of which is a grand-prix style track where the karts go up to a blazing 40 miles-per-hour.
