SUMMER NIGHTS AT THE EMBASSY OPENS TO THE PUBLIC WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24
Help the Embassy Support Local Talent and Business
Single tickets for the fifth season of Summer Nights at the Embassy are on sale to the general public. The entertainment series opens to the general public starting this Wednesday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. from June 24 through September 9. Primary sponsors include Barnes & Thornburg, LLP, First Federal Bank, Fort Financial Credit Union and Chuck & Lisa Surack and Sweetwater. Mad Anthony is the microbrew sponsor.
The 2020 Summer Nights at the Embassy series focuses on musical performances by local artists. Shigs In Pit is the food vendor for the entire series. A cash bar is available.
Based on state guidelines, the start of the season was delayed until June. The first three events were live streamed only and all future shows will be live streamed for free from 8 to 9 p.m. Live streaming access and the FULL season lineup can be found here: http://fwembassytheatre.org/2020-summer-nights/.
All entertainment will be set up in the Yergens Rogers Foundation Ballroom with access to the Parkview Health Rooftop Patio where patrons can relax and enjoy the Fort Wayne skyline and warm weather. The Embassy will follow local guidelines to offer a fun and interactive experience with protocols in place to reduce exposure to COVID-19. Patrons can expect one-way traffic patterns throughout the facility as well as social distancing, use of stairs (so that staff can control elevator traffic for patrons with accessibility or mobility needs) and thorough cleaning protocols. Staff has created a video called “Path of the Patron” so that attendees can familiarize themselves with the traffic pattern of the event. View here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2V3UVfzVrFY&feature=youtu.be.
Due to social distancing, the Embassy is capping capacity at 45 patrons in the facility at a given time. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to guarantee access to each event.
While the Embassy works hard to reduce exposure through vigorous cleaning protocols and staff training, the public is assuming the inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19. The Embassy encourages patrons to do the following to help protect all in attendance:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water.
- Utilize hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
- Cover your sneeze and cough.
- Face coverings are encouraged.
- Stand 6 feet apart from others, maintaining good social distance.
- Avoid contact with sick people.
- Please stay home if you are sick.
The Embassy will keep the public posted if there are any schedule changes.
